  Bio

  I am happily entering my third year at SBMS. I will continue to support fundraising, admissions, communications, and the business office. I have worked in fundraising for the past five years locally at the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara and Hospice of Santa Barbara. Before that, I owned a wedding & event videography business for about 12 years. So if you see me around the school, I will probably have a camera in my hand. I love documenting events and have plenty of chances to do that here.
  
  I have lived in Santa Barbara for over 20 years and grew up in Kauai, Alaska & Guam. I have an Environmental Studies degree from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Fun fact - my parents were middle school teachers. I have two children, ages 7 (Grayden) and 11 (Luna). Luna will be joining us at SBMS this year as a 6th grader. She was so excited to come that she wanted to skip the summer entirely!

  Bio

  I am excited to work with both the Development and Admissions teams at SBMS by helping to raise funds to support our school’s excellent programs and by giving a taste of SBMS life to prospective families through campus tours and other admissions programs.

   

  I am an SBMS alum, Class of 2002, and I attribute much of who I am today to the life lessons and mantras that I learned as a Middle School student. I attended Cal State University, Long Beach, originally for jazz vocal performance, and graduated with a BA in Liberal Studies and Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. I received an MBA specializing in Non-profit Management and Social Responsibility from Antioch here in Santa Barbara. Before coming to SBMS, I worked in development for Domestic Violence Solutions for Santa Barbara County. I have been a part of the Junior League of Santa Barbara for the past ten years, serving as incoming president, 2023-2025.

   

  I am passionate about giving back and advocating for the community, and I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the SBMS faculty and staff.

  Bio

  I am joining Santa Barbara Middle School as the Communications Director in addition to being part of the Development team with Jenni-Elise and Harmony. My journey at SBMS started in July of 2022 when our family decided to relocate from Allentown, Pennsylvania, to sunny Santa Barbara.
   

  Born and raised in South Africa, I have been living and working internationally since 2008. I completed my master's degree in Integrated Strategic Marketing through London Metropolitan University in 2014. I was recently the Director of Marketing and Communications for Mont'Kiara International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - our journey to the USA has too many stories to share in the brief intro. I have a son, Dylan, who is crazy about the LA Lakers and would play basketball all day if he could. I grew up playing rugby and still love to go out and play whenever I get the chance. As a family, we love to travel the world and meet new people - we look forward to meeting everyone here in Santa Barbara.
